It all started with a horse stable on the village square. With Grandpa Sepp, Grandma Franzi, and a vision that had the villagers shaking their heads. An inn, rooms for rent—in a place with no mountain railway, no tourist infrastructure, nothing but alpine pastures, a church, and mountains. Who on earth would go on vacation there?
We know that now.
The Eder Collection is a family of hospitality businesses based in Maria Alm in the Salzburg region—and yet it is so much more than that. It embodies a way of life, a family history spanning three generations, and a promise: those who come here should not feel like guests, but rather like they are at home.
At the heart of the collection are the Eder Lifestyle Hotel, the SEPP Adults Only Hotel, the EdeR FriDa Family Hotel, the TOM Almhütte, the Maria&Josef Store—and, of course, the Eder Apartments. Two properties, two distinct personalities, one shared belief: a vacation in the Alps should have its own unique character.
We are passionate about being hosts. We put our heart and soul into it, with courage and the firm belief that authentic experiences are worth more than glossy brochures. We learned that from Grandpa Sepp. And from Gertrude. And from everything that happened in between.
